Where to find the initial idea?
Nowadays that everything has already been thought of and invented; it is very hard to come up with a new, completely original idea. The Internet can be very helpful in providing various advice and inspiration for building a piece of originality into things that already exist and making your own, new products.
Even the greatest idea in the world did not come out of nothing; there are always models and causes. However, crisis is the best motivator. It creates the best ideas and solutions.
One may start wondering how and why?
While we are sitting relaxed in our armchair, tired after a hard shift at our falsely safe workplace, convinced that the following day will not be worse than today, the world is changing, collapsing and rebuilding again. If we get caught under the millstone of change, we will feel what recession means. We can become poor.
And what do we do now?

If you hold a job that is not particularly productive, but brings a good pay, you can be sure you would be the first to go when recession kicks in. It is crucial to continually build and prove your qualities. Those qualities will best be seen in the recession. Readiness for change and additional learning, resourcefulness, those are the qualities that will lead you to success.
There are some basic rules of conduct that you must apply, as they are important no matter what your job may be.
For starters, let’s see what the most important rules are:
1)
Information! Learn to use resources that can help you get the information you need to work better. I am pointing back to the Internet. There you have access to all information transmitted via newspapers, radio or TV. For example:
-
If you find out that the price of fuel is going up, go to the gas station and fill your gas tank.
-
You would like to start a business in commerce, but you don’t really know what it is people need in this age of crisis. People do not have the money, but they still have to spend it on the basic necessities. Start a business dealing with such products.
2)
A million dollar idea! You don’t have an idea? Are you a banker without the ability to give good financial advice or maybe a baker who has forgotten that bread does not have to be expensive in order to be and taste good? There are forums, blogs, schools of creative thinking on the Internet. Gather knowledge, exchange experience with other people, and you will reach very valuable conclusions and facts on how to improve your business. Today all the firms would give a fortune for one good advice or idea.
3) Education. A man learns all his life. Every work needs improvement; new tools, new technologies. If you are not willing to learn, no business you start will be long lived. Probably it will disappear by the time the first serious crisis has occurred.
4)
Do not be naive. Learn how to evaluate people and work. Do not go into debts more than you can repay. Somebody will have to pay, eventually, and it will be you. On the other hand, if you are well informed and know you will make profit, invest and go boldly ahead. For example:
-
In some cases a loan will make it possible for you to start a new business. Calculate if that will pay off, and then ask for advice people smarter than yourself. You should not save on a good calculation; it could determine your future!
5)
Persistence. Working hours are a problem for you? In the times of crisis, would you rather be working more for the same amount of money or not be working at all? Think about it…
